La Cucina Italiana was born with a simple yet clear mission: to bring warm, honest, family-style Italian food to the heart of Hoi An Ancient Town.

 In the cosy atmosphere of Sala Ancient Town, every pizza and every plate of pasta is made with fresh ingredients, proper technique, and something truly special – a father’s love for his children. For us, food is not just what’s on the plate; it is emotion, memory and the feeling of gathering around a table.

Before working in the kitchen at La Cucina Italiana, Long was an ordinary hotel staff member in Hoi An. In 2020, when Covid-19 froze tourism, the ancient town fell silent and hotels shut down, he had to rethink his future. Instead of leaving hospitality, he chose to start again from zero as a chef – beginning with the Italian dishes his children loved the most.

 From small family meals of pizza and pasta to the first guests who discovered his food through hoianpizza.com, he has always followed one guiding principle: if it isn’t fresh and good enough for his kids, it isn’t good enough for their guests.
